Miley Cyrus Is Engaged to Maxx Morando After Nearly Four Years Together
Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando are officially engaged, marking a new milestone for the couple after nearly four years of dating.
The Grammy-winning singer sparked speculation on December 1 when she appeared on the red carpet at the Avatar: Fire and Ash world premiere in Los Angeles wearing a diamond ring on her left hand. Now, multiple outlets — including People and PageSix — have confirmed the happy news.
A representative for jewelry designer Jacquie Aiche also confirmed that the custom engagement ring was crafted by her house: a bespoke cushion-cut diamond set on a 14-karat yellow gold band.
Adding even more certainty, Morando’s father publicly posted “Congratulations!” on Instagram, tagging both Miley and Maxx.
A Love Story That Began With a Blind Date
Cyrus, 33, and Morando, 26, were first linked in December 2021, after being spotted together backstage during her NBC special Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party. They confirmed their relationship the following spring.
In a 2023 interview with British Vogue, Cyrus revealed that the pair met on a blind date.
“We got put on a blind date … The worst that can happen is I leave,” she said with a laugh.
A Creative Partnership, Too
Morando — a drummer, producer and former member of Liily and The Regrettes — has collaborated closely with Cyrus on several projects. He played drums on her hit album Endless Summer Vacation and co-produced tracks on Something Beautiful, including the title song.
When Cyrus took home Record of the Year at the 2024 Grammys for Flowers, she thanked Morando on stage, calling him “my love.”
