Two People Found Dead at Los Angeles Home Owned by Director Rob Reiner

LOS ANGELES — Two individuals were found dead Sunday afternoon inside a Los Angeles residence owned by acclaimed filmmaker Rob Reiner, according to law enforcement officials.

Authorities confirmed that a man and a woman, ages 78 and 68, were discovered deceased inside the home, which is located in the Brentwood neighborhood on the city’s west side. The incident was first reported by NBC Los Angeles, citing multiple law enforcement sources.

Paramedics were dispatched to the residence at approximately 3:30 p.m. local time. Shortly afterward, police officers arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation.

Law enforcement presence was visible outside the Brentwood home throughout the afternoon as officials worked to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. No immediate cause of death has been publicly released, and authorities have not indicated whether foul play is suspected.

Rob Reiner, 78, is a veteran actor and director best known for a string of iconic films, including “The Princess Bride,” “When Harry Met Sally,” and “A Few Good Men,” the latter earning an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture.

Reiner is married to producer Michele Singer Reiner, 68, and the couple share three children. He also adopted a child from his first marriage to filmmaker Penny Marshall.

NBC News said it has reached out to a representative for Reiner for comment. The investigation remains ongoing.
