NetEase Games has officially confirmed that Deadpool will be the next playable character in Marvel Rivals, revealing the fan-favorite antihero during The Game Awards 2025.
Although Marvel Rivals is still midway through Season 5, the studio surprised fans by unveiling Deadpool as the first hero arriving in Season 6, marking the earliest hero reveal in the game’s lifecycle so far.

The reveal trailer did not showcase gameplay footage, but NetEase confirmed that the Merc with a Mouth will officially join the roster when Season 6: Night at the Museum launches on January 16, 2026.

According to NetEase’s official description, Season 6 centers around chaos at The Collector’s Museum:
After Gambit’s failed attempt to steal a prized artifact, he and Rogue return to the museum in a desperate escape attempt. In response, the Collector sends in his “top professional” — Deadpool.
Things quickly spiral out of control when Deadpool opens every cage inside the Collection, triggering what NetEase describes as “the greatest intergalactic disaster this timeline has ever seen.”
However, a mysterious hunter is already on the way, determined to put an end to the mayhem.

Marvel Rivals Season 5.5 is currently live and recently introduced Gambit as a playable hero.
Meanwhile, Rogue officially joins the fight on PC and consoles on December 12, expanding the roster just weeks ahead of Deadpool’s arrival.
