Three men in Los Angeles are facing murder charges after the fatal shooting of 22-year-old rising Latin artist Delarosa. Prosecutors allege the suspects carried out an “ambush-style attack” in the Northridge neighborhood early on Nov. 22, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman.

Francisco Otilio Gaytan and Benny LiconGomez, both 27, along with 21-year-old Eduardo Lopez, were each charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted second-degree robbery. If convicted, the men could face life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Prosecutors Call Attack ‘Ruthless’ as Two Survivors Remain Critically Injured

Hochman described the shooting as a targeted and “ruthless” attack that claimed the life of a young artist and left two other victims critically wounded. A press release stated that the suspects approached a parked vehicle and demanded money before opening fire on all three occupants.

Representatives for Delarosa were not available for comment at the time of publication. Authorities say Gaytan was arrested the same day, while LiconGomez was taken into custody the following day. An arrest warrant is still active for Lopez.

Suspects Held on Multi-Million Dollar Bail as Arrest Efforts Continue

LiconGomez is being held on approximately $2.3 million bail and is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday. Gaytan’s arraignment is set for Jan. 7, 2026, with bail set at roughly $2.2 million. Lopez’s arraignment will be scheduled once he is located, and his bail has also been set at about $2.2 million.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and no additional details about motive have been released. The names of the two surviving victims have not been made public.

Delarosa Remembered as Rising Talent in the Latin Music Scene

Known to fans as “la muñeca mala” — the “bad doll” — Delarosa was an emerging voice in regional Mexican-influenced Latin music. She had more than 44,000 Instagram followers and released her single “No Me Llames” in August, which has nearly 10,000 streams on Spotify.

Delarosa recently celebrated her 22nd birthday on Oct. 9 and was gaining momentum in the industry. Her death has sparked an outpouring of grief from fans and artists across the Latin music community.
